France – Languedoc
From close to the Spanish border and close to the Mediterranean come these flavoursome yet easy drinking wines. Stylish package with juicy, fresh and expressive flavours mean these wines have been a massive hit as an ‘entry level’ floor stack or a by- the-glass option. The wines are all labelled Vin de Pays de Mont-Baudile.
Lush raspberry and juicy plums with a touch of spice abound in the sunny red; a classic southern blend of shiraz and grenache. A hint of herby garrique reflects its hilly Mediterranean origins. Easy drinking with plenty of personality.
“The Prunet white is 100 per cent grenache blanc, a generous, fruity wine that avoids any oiliness. Instead, there is nice roundness, a good lick of acidity, and the taste of lemon, guava, and spring flowers. A lilting wine and a great aperitif.” Gourmet Traveller Wine, Feb/March 2010.
A delicate, salmon-hued rosé from the Languedoc in the south of France, combining lively summer berry aromas and a sweet tangy flavour of raspberry and strawberry fruits. 100% grenache.
