Oakdene’s range of wines are all made in a dry style, using estate grown grapes, including chardonnay, pinot noir, shiraz, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris and small amounts of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon.  The Oakdene hand crafted wines are elegant, whilst reflecting varietal character and complexity.

Liz’s Chardonnay 2016
– 95 Points Huon Hooke, HuonHooke.com
“Few varieties make quality look as effortless as chardonnay does when it’s on song. Exhibit A. Peach and pear, infusion of oatmeal barley sugar, sweet cedar-spiced oak and a slippery-soft aspect to the texture. It races along in general but it feels and tastes good/generous as it goes. Pitch perfect.”– 94 Points Campbell Mattinson, WineFront.com.au

Oakdene ‘Bernard’s’ Cabernets 2016
“This blend of 63% merlot, 23% cabernet franc and 14% cabernet sauvignon has a deep red/purple colour and a bouquet of sweet ripe berry fruits. The flabour is generous and balanced. The tannins are very soft, the texture highly agreeable and the wine has excellent drinkability despite its youth.” – 93 Points Huon Hooke, HuonHooke.com

Peta’s Pinot Noir 2015
– 95 Points James Halliday, WineCompanion.com.au
– Gold Medal National Wine Show 2016
– Gold Medal Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2016
“Lovely pinot noir to tuck into. There’s lots of pleasure to be had here. It’s perfectly ripened, complex, comes well-enough strung with tannin and has no shortage of length. The fruit has a touch of sweetness to it but there’s more than enough savoury/smoky/twiggy complexity as a counter-balance.” – 92 Points Campbell Mattinson, WineFront.com.au
